2012 Gizeh Ceremonial & PNSA

Nanaimo, BC

May 17th to 20th 2012

A Special Invitation

Noble John LeGros

Nobles and Ladies, as President of the Pacific Northwest Shrine Association (PNSA) and Potentate of Gizeh Shriners, I extend a special invitation to you to be a part of the PNSA gathering that will be held in Nanaimo from May 17th to 20th 2012. This ceremony will be in conjunction with our Gizeh Spring Ceremonial and the Nobles and Ladies of Vancouver Island are working very diligently in the preparation for this great event. 2012 will be the 100th Anniversary of the PNSA and a special commemorative pin has been struck and will be available at the event.

We have made arrangements for hotel reservations, fun and frolic, entertainment with many Shrine Units participating in various competitions. There will be a Texas Scramble Shot Gun start Golf Tournament for all golfers on Thursday, May 17th beginning at 1:00 pm. In addition to hotel arrangements for attendees, sites have been set aside at the Living Forest RV Campground in south Nanaimo.

For the younger Shriner families, we encourage you to come with your children as we have made arrangements with Job's Daughters of Nanaimo to look after the younger set while the events are taking place. They will also look after your children while you partake in the evening festivities, such as the Thursday & Friday Meet 'n Greets and the grand finale Saturday afternoon commencing with the Fezzing of our newly initiated Nobles, followed by the President's Banquet.

The Fezzing of our new Nobles will be part of an "Arch" degree story of how Masonry began. This will be the first time this degree is presented in British Columbia. The Arch Degree Team from the Gizeh Shrine Centre promises it will be very interesting. All family members are welcome to attend this event.

A great Empire Day community parade will be held on Sunday May 20th at which time the Shriners will join in with other community groups to make up a fantastic display of vehicles, floats, marching bands, clowns and dignitaries.

Please watch this site for exciting updates as the planning for this major Shrine event unfolds.

Registration for the PNSA / Gizeh Ceremonial will be online in early February 2012.
